Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche (Tibetan), is the probably most well known and loved figure in Tibetan Buddhism. Padmasambhava was prophesized by the Buddha to emanate in a future time, in order to propagate the Vajrayana teachings (the third turning of the wheel of Buddha’s teachings).
